Pleasanton crew lands redfish using three proven techniques!
Our crew from Pleasanton made the trip down for some winter inshore action. We launched early morning with clearing skies in the afternoon, which made for perfect conditions on the water. The crew of four was ready to get after some redfish using a mix of sight fishing, drift fishing, and bottom fishing techniques.
We focused our efforts on sight fishing first, scanning the shallows for tailing reds. When that slowed down, we switched to drift fishing over some productive flats, then finished up with bottom fishing in deeper pockets. This area is perfect for mixing up techniques like this - you can cover different water types and target fish in various feeding modes throughout the day. The redfish were cooperative, and we managed to put the crew on some solid fish using all three methods. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around.
